Construction of one or more artificial riverine channels where there was no previous wetland. Channel construction may include evidence of excavation and/or bunding. These channels may openly connect to river systems or other freshwater wetlands.

Applicable Wetland Habitat Hydrological Modification:

  • ‘Artificial – channel construction – freshwater wetland’ (H3-C2-a)

Construction of one or more artificial channels where there was no previous wetland that openly connect to estuaries or intertidal wetlands. Channel construction may include evidence of excavation and/or bunding.

Applicable Wetland Habitat Hydrological Modification:

  • ‘Artificial – channel construction – intertidal wetland’ (H3-C2-b)
