Building a sediment basin to capture sediment lost from intensive land use in Great Barrier Reef catchment area.

The sediment basin captures sediment that would otherwise reach the Great Barrier Reef and allows the landholder to reuse it for agricultural activities.

Simple, but effective, design and placement of sediment basins can improve water quality in a catchment.
