Summary

This Cats Claw Creeper (Macfadyena unguis-cati) (CCC) infestation on Prayles property is one of only two known outbreaks in this lower area of the Tinana creek section so eradication is the goal. This infestation will undergo herbicide treatment over current growing season (summer) by a contractor and the landholder will assist in time and equipment.

Benefits

This action is in alignment with the South-East Queensland (SEQ) Rainforest Recovery plan. The site is at a key location on the banks of Tinana Creek and will be a critical location for the success of the Tinana Inffer project. The asset has been highly valued through vegetation assessments, and the public benefits of CCC control greatly outweigh the private benefits in this case.
