Summary

This project will see the installation of a Rock Ramp Fish Ladder at the Victoria Mill Weir to allow fish to migrate to the higher reaches of Palm Creek. On completion of the construction, revegetation of the construction footprint will be undertaken using native plant species that provide shade and protection to the fish ladder.

Benefits

The installation of a Rock Ramp fish ladder to Victoria Mill Weir will potentially provide access for a range of fish species as well as accommodating their migration habits and life cycles. The added benefits through revegetation may be an increase to biodiversity along Palm creek and the provision of food and habitat to the endangered Mahogany Glider.
