Summary

This project focused on turtle nest monitoring at Injinoo. It is a continuation of the pilot project aimed at protecting turtle nests on the West Coast of Cape York from predation by feral animals, primarily pigs. Monitoring was undertaken at the following locations: Kowanyama, Pormpuraaw, Napranum and Injinoo. Aerial shoots were undertaken from Arukun to Injinoo with 2000 pigs culled.
