This project will fund a dedicated waterway litter Clean-up Program to remove waterway litter across Brisbane River, Nerang River, Tallebudgera Creek, Currumbin Creek, Bremer River and Logan River in South East Queensland for a 12-month period.

Benefits

This program will:
  • address the threat of waterway litter and marine debris to waterway health.
The program provides standardised reporting, data collection and methodology at a regional level for waterway litter statistics. It advises local government and the community on the current state of waterway litter in South East Queensland and provides source tracking reporting and bi-annual project reporting on litter trends and statistics.
