Summary

This project aims to reinforce the toe and river bank on the upper-Brisbane River through the placement of rocks and logs and replanting with local native riparian species.

Benefits

This project will:
  • improve bank stability and re-establish riparian vegetation to reduce erosion, and enhance aquatic function and habitat values. In turn, these activities will lead to improved water quality in Brisbane River and further downstream to the SEQ principal water supply catchment - Wivenhoe Dam.
