Summary

The project developed a detailed property plan for Arctus Downs to integrate the natural, vegetated waterways with the property’s water reticulation system. Irrigation water is captured in detention basins (sumps) for reuse. Native vegetation is recognised for its benefits in relation to crop protection, water purification and management of spray drift.

Benefits

This project will:
  • provide habitat for beneficial insects such as assassin bugs
  • prevent spray drift from crops.
