Summary

The project aims to build landscape resilience within ‘peri-urban’ hot spots within the Mackay Whitsunday region. This will involve weed removal and re-vegetation activities.

Benefits

The project will:
  • provide support to peri-urban landholders to undertake better land management practices including management of riparian zones, native vegetation, stock and pastures.

These activities will create more healthy natural and productive areas that will better withstand and recover from extreme weather events.
