The wetland mapping is stored as 3 feature classes:

For any polygon with source = fromRE, shows all regional ecosystems present in a polygon derived from regional ecosystem data. This may include non-wetland regional ecosystems for heterogeneous polygons.

Concatenated list of regional ecosystems separated by a slash where there is more than one regional ecosystem occurs.

XRE_PERCENT

RE % list

For any polygon with source = fromRE, shows the percentage of all regional ecosystems present in a polygon.

Concatenated percents separated by a slash that correspond to the regional ecosystems listed under XRE.

XRE_CLASS

Wetland system by RE list

For any polygon with source = fromRE  shows the complete list of wetland systems present in a polygon derived from regional ecosystems polygons.

Concatenated wetland classes, and related codes, separated by a slash that correspond to the regional ecosystems listed under XRE.

XRE_SAL_MOD

Salinity modifier code by RE list

For any polygon with source = fromRE, shows the salinity modifiers for all regional ecosystems present in a polygon derived from regional ecosystems.

FLOODPLAIN

F if on floodplain

Identifies if the polygon is a ‘floodplain’ wetland. Floodplains may include floodplain wetlands (with wetland class = P, L etc.) and other areas that are inundated but does not generally retain water after flooding long enough to meet the definition of wetlands. These latter areas often contain unmapped areas of wetlands and are often hydrologically linked to wetland areas.

An ID that indicates contiguous areas with the same wetland class (treating L and P as equivalent), hydrology modifier and catchment.

Ecotope identifier

An ID that indicates contiguous areas with the same wetland class, hydrology, salinity and water regime modifiers and regional ecosystem.

Ecotope area (hectares)

Area (in hectares) of each ecotope-id.

FLOODPLAIN_ Floodplain Descriptive name that identifies if the polygon is a floodplain wetland. Floodplains may include floodplain wetlands (with wetland class = P, L etc.) and other areas that are inundated but does not generally retain water after flooding long enough to meet the definition of wetlands.
