Description
Dendrobium nindii is an epiphytic orchid; it lives on other plants, but does not derive nutrients from them. It forms tall, slender clumps and has dark green, leathery leaves up to 15cm long. Long stems bear sprays of 10-20 flowers. The flower petals are whitish with a pale blue tinge. The forward projecting petal (labellum) is deep pink to reddish in colour. (Herbrecs 2008)

Habitat
Dendrobium nindii is a lowland species of the hot, humid swamps. It has been found high in the canopy of mangroves, in the full sun. It also grows on palms. (Herbrecs 2008)
